Deuces Wild
 Since 1963, over 20,000
Corvettes were sold annually. However, 1967 sales dipped almost 5,000 cars
from 1966 sales figures to 22,940.
The last C2 was manufactured in July, 1967 and featured the least exterior
adornments of any Sting Ray. The hood scripts, fender flags didn't make
the cut. The easiest way to identify a '67? Look for the five
vertical louvers on the front fenders replacing the three slots of earlier
models. Another external indication is the backup light above the license
plate.
The extremely rare L88 (only 20 were produced) 427 with aluminum heads
appeared as Duntov continued to make competition hardware available as a
showroom option. The most popular big-block was the L71 with
"triples deuces" (Holley two-barrels) and a conservatively rated 435 horsepower.
(Pundits put the actual output at around 500!) Nearly 4,000
Corvettes rolled off the line with this powerful combination. However,
only 16 selected aluminum heads for the L71 option. The distinctive
"stinger" big-block hood appeared only in 1967.
Air conditioning continued to be a rare option appearing in only 3,788 cars.

Ten exterior colors continued to be
available: Tuxedo Black, Sunfire Yellow, Ermine White, Rally Red,
Marina Blue, Lynndale Blue, Elkhart Blue, Goodwood Green, Silver Pearl and
Marlboro Maroon.
Goodwood Green was the most popular exterior color followed
closely by Marina Blue with Marlboro Maroon falling into third followed by Rally
Red. Tuxedo Black was the least popular choice and appeared on only
815 Corvettes. Ten
Corvettes were delivered with primer. Convertible tops were mostly black
followed by white. A teal blue was ordered by 611 owners.
