2004 - Ocean City

If it's late September or early October, then the must-event for Corvette enthusiasts is Free State Corvette's Ocean City weekend.

With four hurricanes in five weeks hitting the southeastern coast, rain had been a constant.  Even so, with great expectations Katie and I left Friday morning, October 1 in the syncopating sunlight of Fall.   I drove initially.  We saw very few Vettes...but were in line with this 50th Anniversary 'vert and a C4 for a while.

We stopped at McD's in Cambridge for carbohydrate loading and Katie drove the rest of the way.

We stayed at the Lighthouse hotel (our usual haunt) which is modeled on the famous Chesapeake bay lighthouse, Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse (Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse).   Others who stayed there....yes, M R Ducks.

Nothing beats a C3 and sidepipes...except maybe a C2 with sidepipes!
